How does it all come together?

Homosexuals are involved in every aspect of American society. They fight for rights in the political spectrum. They produce media content for our country to see. Religious organizations have specific beliefs on homosexuals and their practices. These are but a few examples of homosexual life in America, but though these actions may pertain to specific areas of American culture (politics, media, and religion) they are all linked within the various areas of culture. Gay marriage is a political issue that is vocally discussed in American religion. Don't Ask-Don't Tell is heavily debated in American media as a crucial political issue. American culture is woven in a complex manner, and homosexuality is no exception to this rule. As homosexuals look to gain rights and social standing in American society, they need to focus on all areas of American culture to win the fight against prejudice. In addition, as more and more scientific knowledge points to homosexuality being a biologically based trait, Americans must begin to understand that homosexuality is not a disease, disorder, or a choice, and that homosexuals have continually proven that they will fight to be an integral part of American culture and society.
